  • Citizens from countries outside the EU, Schengen Area, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan require an Italy student visa.
  •  To study in Italy, these nationals must apply for the visa at the Italian embassy, consulate, or VFS (Visa Application Center) in their home country.

  • If you are coming to Italy for higher education, such as an undergraduate or postgraduate program, and the program lasts longer than 90 days, you will need a long-stay visa.

  •  All previous and educational documents.
  •  Proof of some financial statements.
  •  Visa application fee.

  • Students are allowed to work 20 hours per week.
  • They can work 1040 working hours within 52 weeks.

  • Students have to fill the visa application form.
  • Book an appointment on the VFS Global website.
  • Have to check the Italian embassy or consulate for the visa process.
  • Students have to bring all original documents on the day of appointment.
  • Pay the visa fee and submit all the required documents along with your passport.

How to Apply for the Italian Residence Permit in Italy?

  • Students have to apply for the residence permit within 8 working days after their arrival in Italy.
  • All the travel documents and Passport is required to apply for the residence permit.

Cost of a Residence Permit:

  •  Approximately $43 for stays between 3 and 12 months.
  •  Almost $54 for stays between 12 and 24 months.
  •  Approximately $107 for long-term residence permits.
