Eligibility Criteria for the Global UGRAD Exchange Undergraduate Program:

Ineligibility for the UGRAD:
- You are ineligible for the Global UGRAD Program if:
- If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Currently studying, training, or researching in the U.S.
- You are living or working outside the listed participating countries.
- If you took part in a U.S. government-funded exchange for over six weeks and have not met the two-year home residency rule.
- If you applied for U.S. permanent residency within the last three years then you are not eligible.
- You or your immediate family work for nonprofits managing Global UGRAD for the U.S. Department of State (unless family members live independently).
- You work for a U.S. mission or USAID abroad.
- If You are an immediate family member of a U.S. Department of State or USAID employee then you are not eligible.

How to Apply for the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program 2025?
- Register on the UGRAD Student Portal, confirm your email, and set a password.
- Fill out the application with your eligibility, personal details, academic info, English proficiency, hobbies, community service, work experience, and essays.
- Write two essays (350-750 words each) on the given topics.
- Get two recommendations: one from a faculty member and one from a mentor or employer.
- Upload your documents: your transcript, photo ID, and recommendation forms.
- Apply by the deadline.
